Itinerary along the Mahebourg coastline

For a lovely, relaxing day at sea, we recommend our full day catamaran excursion to the heavenly island of Ile aux Cerfs. Sailing within the safety of the largest turquoise lagoon in Mauritius, along the historic and wild Eastern coast of the island. Here some 18th century ramparts can still be seen and witness some tough corsair activities as well as naval skirmishes which, in 1810, was the scene of the “Battle of Vieux Grand Port” between the French and the English.

The catamaran departs from Pointe Jerome, near the authentic village of Mahebourg and the Marine Park of Blue Bay, which is protected under the International Ramsar Convention.

Snorkel and swim before visiting the “Grande Riviere Sud Est” (GRSE) waterfall in its beautiful natural setting followed by a BBQ buffet which is prepared and served on board by our friendly crew and consists of our famous smoked marlin mousse, grilled fish, chicken and saussages, rice and potato salads, crudités, freshly baked bread, fresh fruits and coffee.

  • Vegetarian meals are available on request at the time of reservation.
  • Beverages such as fruit juice, mineral water, soft drinks, beers and rum cocktail are served throughout the journey. Red and white win is offered with lunch.
  • Snorkelling equipment is available on board.
  • We also offer exclusive boat rentals, weddings and special events on board.

NB. Croisieres Turquoise is not responsible for any water sports or parasailing offered at Ile aux Cerfs.
You can do them but at your own risk.
